We at the National Office are preparing ourselves for a very heavy goodbye this summer as our sensational Partnerships and Program Coordinator, Ellen Moore, takes the next exciting steps on her journey after two years on the staff at NINO! Please read her message to the entire Nourish Network below.

Dear Nourishers,

I am writing today to let you know of my decision to transition off of the staff at the National Office at the end of the school year in June 2016.  My two years at the National Office have been truly inspiring and I know this experience will shape my future career in endless ways.  I am excited to explore the opportunities of this next chapter in my life and support Nourish in different ways as an alum and volunteer in the coming years. Thank you for all the many memories and experiences we have shared together in pursuit of creating a lasting impact for the communities we support.

My journey with Nourish began in 2012, when I started the process of founding a Chapter as a student at Syracuse University. Founding a Chapter was one of the most meaningful parts of my college career, and seeing it blossom since finishing school in 2014 has been a great joy.

Yet, I was lucky that graduating meant beginning a new chapter of my Nourish experience, as a member of the NINO staff.  Working with more than 20 unique Chapters, hundreds of inspiring student leaders, our incredible network of international partners, and staff and board members who became great friends and mentors has been a privilege, and has challenged me in ways that have allowed me to grow immensely.  I am honored to know so many thoughtful individuals who are advocates for their communities and who are going to make this world a better place.

Together, we have made important changes to our partnership process that reflect the dynamic needs of our students and partners.  We have moved our Project training online and opened up a conversation with over 100 student interns engaging on the same web platform.  We have started Chapters, grown Chapters, trained new leaders, created new Ventures, invested in partner communities and shared our Nourish Love.

As I make this transition, I am confident that the work we have done together will allow our Chapters and partnerships to continue growing and thriving in the years to come.  During my last few months, I’ll be focusing on preparing for my successor to take on the responsibilities of working with student leaders and communicating with partners, so we can keep improving our collaborations. The posting for my position can be found here and I hope you will share it with anyone you may know that can help us continue the great work we have done together.

Thank you all for being a part of my journey - I hope this is only the beginning.

Nourish Love,

Ellen
