Weekly chapter spotlight:

Each week we'll hear from one of our chapters as we share tips and insights from Nourish students. Today it's College of Charleston, who is also this week's leader on the Member Registration table. If you attended Summer Institute, you may remember CofC's involvement with the Venture Competition's People's Choice Award Winner, R.I.P.E. (see the Ventures Database for more); you may also remember Donnie Maclurcan's Head, Heart, Hand activity. CofC has run with these two ideas and put them into practice! Here's what Ben and Courtney had to say when we asked them how the start of the school year was going for Nourish Charleston:

At CofC, we have been marketing Nourish as an organization that not only helps global communities, but cares about the students that are a part of our chapter. We conducted the Head, Heart, Hands activity (from Summer Institute) at our first meeting to show students that what they know about, care about, and are able to do matters not only to us but to global issues such as extreme poverty. This personalized activity brought people into our chapter who felt like we really appreciate them as individuals. We have also started selling juices on campus with our venture, RIPE, which was created at Summer Institute this year! People have been very enthusiastic about getting involved with our efforts with the Farmer's Market and we can't wait to see how RIPE continues to grow.
